And why do I have a limit of two duchies I can carry? Like I don't know I feel vassals and economy is just broken at least to me.

And the cost of building new cities or castles is just absurd. Even with high Stewardship it doesn't matter because 10% or 20% of 0.1 gold is usually zero since the game seems to round down to the nearest tenth of a number.
CRUSADER KINGS 3 BIGGEST COUNTY HOW TO
If someone knows how to have a large empire without using the NK strategy let me know. It's so bad I had to use the North Korea strategy just to keep pace with the cost of ever growing deployment costs (well the NK strategy allows you to make a crap ton of money). Like seriously I went to imprison a vassal with a ruler with 38 intrigue and 20 martial and I have a 3% chance to imprison? Nani da f**? I find hooks on your vassals in general are useless since even if I do get one the reluctance penalty and the calculations for most actions are so far against the player. Oh and you can only modify feudal contracts once per vassal's lifetime so I can't fabricate hooks and keep raising them either. I get levies and taxes from them but the amounts are really small and by the time I create my first kingdom I can no longer expand my military because vassal contributions are just shit. I'm expected to keep my vassals happy, respect any rights I give unto them, and uphold my feudal contract, if I make any executive action they can rebel or flat out refuse, most of the time they can commit actions against me and I have no rightful reason to imprison them. In CK3 dealing with vassals seems like a take-take relationship. In real life vassal management was a give and take system where kings and vassals had clearly established rights and obligations both had to fulfill and enjoy. Is it though? I never played CK2 but to me the vassal mechanics are jank as slath. Finally, Jibal in Persia has much of the same (except the House of Wisdom), but all its counties start with seven holdings (for a total of 35 baronies all to yourself), so you don't have to rely on RNG at all! Baghdad is nearly maxed out, on top of a holy site and the Silk Road, and starts with the House of Wisdom partially built. All but one of Flanders' provinces are also coastal. Sicily, for instance, is not only larger, but all it's provinces are coastal, allowing you to take advantage of more buildings, including trade posts. At the same time, there are 23 duchies around the map with more provinces (all tied at six each) and 18 duchies with more potential baronies. To be precise, it has five counties with a starting total of 23 potential baronies among them. The Kingdom of Sardinia and Corsica is also a decent choice for playing tall even if it's actually two small duchies. On top of that, each of its counties do have a lot of holdings, so you won't have to rely on prosperity RNG as much to get the most out of it. Bohemia's a large duchy in a small kingdom inside the HRE where you, from the start, have good succession laws, a lot of security from outside threats, and potential access to a lot of power and technology. Currently, /r/CrusaderKings is operating its seventh communal game.
